What a landlord checks at check-out
When you leave a rental, the owner or agency goes over it closely to decide whether to return your full deposit. And they don’t look at first impressions: they look inside the oven, the extractor hood and its filter, the tile grout in the bathroom and kitchen, the shower screen, the inside of the cupboards, behind appliances, the blinds and their housings, the skirting and the corners. These are exactly the areas nobody cleans day to day and where months or years of dirt build up. End-of-tenancy cleaning targets that exact list.
Kitchen and bathroom, the two decisive areas
The kitchen is where most deposit is lost. We degrease the oven inside, the trays and the glass door, clean the hood and degrease or replace its filters, the hob, the tiles with grease splashes and the inside of drawers and cupboards. In the bathroom we remove caked lime from taps, screen and tiles, whiten blackened grout as far as possible, and leave the toilet, basin and shower tray spotless. This is the work that makes the difference between getting the whole deposit back or facing a deduction.
Blinds, cupboards, corners and floors
We clean the blinds slat by slat and their housings, cupboards inside and out, door and window frames, skirting and the corners that gather dust. Thorough vacuuming and mopping of all floors. If the tenancy was furnished, we also go over dust on the furniture and the inside of drawers. The aim is to hand the home over in the same clean state you received it, which is what most contracts require.
Check-out report and guarantee
If you wish, we give you before-and-after photos so you have a record of the state you left the home in for the check-out with the landlord or agency. Does this clean guarantee I get my deposit back?
We cover exactly what the landlord checks (oven, grout, blinds, cupboards). The return is up to the owner, but handing the home over as you received it is what avoids cleaning deductions.
Does it include the oven and hood inside?
Yes. We degrease the oven inside, trays and glass, and the hood with its filters. The kitchen is where most deposit is lost, so it’s the focus of the service.
I’m leaving the country, can I leave it all to you?
Yes, we arrange access by keys or lockbox and, if you wish, send you before-and-after photos for the check-out even if you’re not present.
How much is an end-of-tenancy clean?
A 2-bedroom flat usually costs 150-280 euros depending on state. We give a fixed price after a free prior assessment by area and built-up dirt.
Do you whiten blackened grout?
We treat and whiten it as far as possible. If mould has penetrated the silicone, it’s sometimes best to replace the silicone, we tell you at the prior assessment.
