The nineties bungalow has its habits
Playa Flamenca filled with bungalows and townhouses between 1990 and 2000. Thirty years on the faults are predictable: flat roofs whose membrane has run its course, original plumbing with seized taps and stopcocks, and consumer units designed for a house without air conditioning.
The flat roof is the expensive one to ignore. The leak does not arrive in the living room ceiling all at once: first there is a small mark that dries out in winter and comes back in autumn. Checking it before it reaches the beams costs a fraction of what it costs afterwards.
