Much of Elche's housing sits in blocks put up between the sixties and the eighties, particularly around Carrús and the centre. They were well built, but the bathrooms are narrow, the kitchens are closed four-metre rooms, and the wiring was designed for a fridge and not much else. Do I need permission from Elche town hall?
For a bathroom, kitchen, floors or joinery without touching structure or facade, a declaración responsable for minor works is normally enough. Touch a load-bearing wall or the facade and you need a technical project and a licence. We clarify which on the first visit.
